Care Philosophy

To look after our residents in the best possible way, in a home from home environment, creating an atmosphere to meet all nursing, social, spiritual and psychological needs of the individual.

Each resident is treated as a special individual. We recognise each person’s right to air their views, voice their opinions, make choices, be informed of their condition and be given the help and understanding to accept the required treatment and actively encourage their relatives/friends/advocates to assist the resident and the Adelaide Nursing Home to meet their individual needs. Adelaide Nursing Home actively promotes links with local community. Offering sensitive and conscientious nursing and social care from competent and committed well-trained staff, who understand the needs of elderly people.

We are also aware of the spiritual requirements of the individual and act accordingly to ensure those needs are meet. Adelaide Nursing Home operates an ‘open door’ facility; allowing family and friends to visit their relatives and discuss care needs and plans with staff. It is an important part of our philosophy to provide quality care on an individually catered basis.

“I would highly recommend Adelaide Nursing Home to anyone. The staff are outstanding and my mother was very happy there. At the time of her residing there, her life expectancy was limited and I am comforted by the fact she was very well cared for. It is very much a home from home for residents. I will always have fond memories of her time there and the friends she made.”
